TECHNICA MEASUREMENT SUPPORTS OFFSHORE OPERATIONS

Technica Measurement Engineers have recently completed a period of support for BW Offshore with their water cut meters onboard the FPSO Catcher.  Mobilising from Aberdeen to the North Sea Asset, an engineer from Technica Measurement was able to identify and then rectify the defect.

Working alongside Offshore Operations personnel, Metering and Laboratory Technicians, the engineer was able to review the system and improve the analyser system performance, as well as being able to provide an updated sampling procedure allowing the meters to continue operating correctly.

Once operational, the client was provided with a detailed technical report outlining the changes made, the improvements in available data and suggestions for further improvements to system performance. These recommendations covered various scenarios allowing the client to make improvements to their processes, immediately and without the requirement to introduce major increases to their workload.
